I came home from work yesterday and immediately set off for a walk with LMF and Digby in tow. It was beautiful--60 degree March weather. We walked in the sun and enjoyed the fresh air.
It was a lovely, sunny day and my neighbors were also enjoying this uncommonly warm weather. Many young students stopped to pet Digby and say hello to LMF. One young girl chatted with us for some time. Wearing binoculars about her neck, she shared she was looking for signs of spring. Expecting her to share the crocus blooms, the tree buds, and green grass--she instead shared, “People are out and smiling. They all look happy.” What a great indicator of spring!
While out we enjoyed the frolicking of a chubby woodchuck (then again, I don't think I’ve ever seen a skinny woodchuck). He foraged in a rock garden to then scurry across the path just before our feet!
As we walked home from our local park, I found myself remarking, “We need to do this more often...just drop everything and get outside.”
